Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore

The Catholic University of the Sacred Heart (UCSC) in Milan is one of the largest Catholic universities in the world with over 43,000 students at present. The University does not have a separate faculty of theology, though it does have a department of theology, and all students there obtain basic theological education. The cooperation with STOUH began in 2007 and has been developed since by means of joint projects: primarily via an exchange of students and teachers, and summer schools and conferences in the humanities.

Among other initiatives, it is worth noting the joint research project between STOUH’s Sociology of Religion laboratory and UCSC’s Centre for Family Research.
