On February, 19, 2023, students and teachers of the Faculty of History and Philology held a Day of Germanic Philology. The tradition of the annual celebration at the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology was interrupted by the pandemic, but restored by the efforts of all four courses under the leadership of the head of the Department Lev V. Pisarev.

On February 13, 2023, students and teachers from the Department of Pedagogy of the Faculty of History and Philology met with Stefano Nembrini, the director of the Italian private school VEST from Clusone (Bergamo Province).
On January 30, 2023, a seminar on strategies for teaching foreign languages using an intercultural approach was held at the Department of Foreign Languages of the Faculty of Theology. The keynote speech was delivered by Dr. Vladislav V. Alpatov, Assistant Professor of the Department of English Language Teaching Methodology and Business Communication of the Institute of Foreign Languages of the Moscow State Pedagogical University.
The first part of the study placement of 2nd year students of Romance Languages from the Faculty of History and Philology, which took place from January 23 to 30, 2023, at Italo Calvino School in Moscow, has come to an end.
On January 26, 2023, STOUH hosted a small evening titled St. Sava: Pillar of Serbianism and dedicated to Saint Sava, the first Serbian archbishop, teacher, educator of the Serbian people and pillar of unbreakable Russo-Serbian brotherhood.

On January 23, 2023, STOUH students of Romance Philology began internships at Italo Calvino Italian school in Moscow.
January 20, 2023, marked the third anniversary of the passing of the outstanding scholar, teacher, and pastor Archpriest Georgii Orekhanov (1962–2020). For over a quarter century, Fr. Georgii was an employee and faculty member of Saint Tikhon’s Orthodox University of the Humanities (STOUH), taught various courses and degree programmes, and constantly gave public lectures, organized conferences, colloquia, and academic seminars. A great many colleagues and disciples of his nurture heartfelt memories of gratitude to him.
December 17, 2022, was an eventful day for students in the Department of Eastern Christian Philology and Eastern Churches. A solemn Liturgy, with Archpriest Oleg Davydenkov presiding, took place on the Feast Day of St. John Damascene, who is considered the patron saint of the Department.
On December 15, 2022, as part of activities organized by the STOUH International Friendship Club, the Department of Eastern Christian Philology and Eastern Churches of the Faculty of Theology at STOUH and the Tapan Museum of the Diocese of Russia and New Nakhichevan of the Armenian Apostolic Church held an academic seminar on Grigor Narekatsi’s Legacy and its Reflection in the Illuminated Manuscripts of the Armenian Middle Ages.
On December 12, 2022, as part of the 23rd Annual International Theological Conference of STOUH, a panel on “Kartvelology: Problems and Prospects” was held, for the twelfth time.
On December 7, 2022, after the exams in French for 4th, 5th, and 6th year students, an extra-curricular activity was organized as part of the Linguocountry Studies syllabus.
On December 1, 2022, Italian students from the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology of the Faculty of History and Philology under the guidance of Prof. Maria Desiatova held an online meeting with students of the Liceo Luzzago (Brescia, Italy) who are studying the Russian language.
On December 2, 2022, Bachelors and Masters of Philology students chaperoned by Ksenia Aleksandrova, a teacher of the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology, visited Moscow’s Old English Court Museum and the ongoing exhibition of birch-bark documents titled “You’ve got mail”.

On November 24, 2022, a panel on Reception of the Byzantine Heritage in the History of Christianity: Towards the 30th Anniversary of Protopresbyter John Meyendorff, was held as part of of the international conference Byzantine Heritage in the History of Christianity: Towards the Anniversary of the Passing of John Meyendorff.
